Benzema will hear today the resolution of the Valbuena case

A few hours before the Real Madrid face the Sheriff on the penultimate day of the Champions League, Karim Benzema will be pending the resolution of the Valbuena case, which will be known during the morning of this Wednesday.

The Madrid striker, who already last month could not attend the three-day trial due to Madrid’s sports agenda, will not be reading the deliberation for the Champions match today either. However, the French attacker knows what he is exposed to, because the prosecution requested 10 months in prison, exempt from compliance, and a 75,000 euro fine for his alleged involvement in Blackmail for a sex video against Mathieu Valbuena in 2015. Of course, he is exposed to a penalty of up to 5 years maximum for his alleged participation in the crime he is charged with.

In addition to Benzema, four other people are on trial at Versailles for their involvement. Are Axel Agnot, who is exposed to 18 months in jail and a 15,000 euro fine and is the one to whom Valbuena had entrusted his phone. Mustapha Zouaoui, four years in prison and a fine of 15,000 euros for being considered the ringleader. Younes Houass, who spoke with Valbuena to do the blackmail, 18 months in prison and a 5,000 euro fine. And finally, Karim Zenati, childhood friend of Benzema, who is exposed to 2 years in prison and a fine of 5,000 euros.

This case, which will come to an end today, has brought the French team headlong since 2015. Valbuena himself, until then 52 times international, disappeared from the France squad, something that he assures is also the fault of the blackmailers, while The same thing happened with Karim Benzema until the dispute of the last European Championship, in which he was pardoned by Didier Deschamps.
