After the triumph achieved by Borussia Dortmund against Leipizg this Saturday at Signal Iduna Park (3-2), Bayern were proclaimed German champions for the 31st time in their history this Saturday, extending their record. They are followed by Nuremberg (with 9 titles in their record) and Borussia Dortmund (with 8). This is the ninth consecutive Bundesliga achieved by Bayern.
The alirón arrives for Bayern 3 months after sealing their ‘sextete’ by winning the Club World Cup against Tigres de México 1-0. And less than a month after running out of the possibility of revalidating his European champion title (and thus achieving his seventh Champions League) when he was eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the quarterfinals (2-3 for those of Mauricio Pochettino at the Allianz Arena and 0-1 for Hansi Flick's at the Parc des Princes).
Driven by the 36 stratospheric goals from Robert Lewandowski, Bayern has once again imposed its law in the Bundesliga, in an edition in which it was Leipzig that has contested it until almost the end.
