Basyzbek Baratov is a 29-year-old, professional boxer from Kyrgyzstan. He won two of the big titles in amateur boxing; the Champion of Russia, and the Champion of Kyrgyzstan.
Currently, he has been living in the USA. He came from Sunny Kyrgyzstan to conquer his dreams, to conquer America. His goal is to become the World Champion.
He is currently focusing on rating fights, which will pave the way for him to the World Championship. According to his manager, he is planning to fight at the end of this year for the American Boxing Federation (ABF) belt.
Basyzbek Baratov is the kind of person to takes things to step by step. He will be focusing on bigger fights after winning the ABF belt.
He is trained by Michael McSorrley, who is an experienced boxer from the Conn-Boxing Club. He is also his manager and it has been a year that they are working together.
They also have two other strong boxers on the team. One is from Ukraine, lightweight Oleg Dovhun, and the second is super heavyweight Lubomir Pinchuk. Together they make a great team.
Basyzbek Baratov started won the National Championship at the age of 20. He is often compared to the legendary boxer from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, in terms of appearance.
