As per the reports, Bartolo Colon talks about it to Maria Rivera who is a sportswriter and reporter at ESPN. Barton says that he hopes to pitch one more time at the next MLB season. He also has a preferable choice of a team that he wants to join. Bartolo Colon says that if he was to choose the team to play for then it will be none other than the New York Mets.

Yes, Bartolo Colon wants to pitch one more time for the New York Mets and give his best shot. If Colon will be appearing in the upcoming season of MLB then it will surely be going to be his last and final shot at it.

Bartolo Colon says to Rivera, “I thought that last year maybe I would have the opportunity…I know that if it didn’t happen last year, this year would be less likely. I’m getting older and the game is all about the young pitchers coming up. When you get older, teams no longer need your services.”

If we look at Bartolo Colon’s last appearance in the previous season of MLB then it was almost 2 years ago. Colon was playing for the Texas Rangers in the last season. He was successful to get a 7-12 record and 5.78 ERA in 146 1/3 innings at the end. Colon did surely carry the perfect game in the eighth inning when playing against the Houston Astros.
