Aubameyang renews until 2023: he will earn 350,000 pounds a week

The soap opera is over. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be a footballer for Arsenal from next summer until 2023. The Gabonese forward has extended his contract with the Gunners after many months of speculation, especially during the last summer.

Mikel Arteta warned that the agreement was very close and the signature arrived this afternoon, with a video of Aubameyang at the Emirates Stadium confirming that he wants to “make history at Arsenal”. To achieve the renewal of the former Borussia Dortmund striker, Arsenal will have to pay 350,000 pounds a week which will make him the highest paid player on the squad, a role that until now was for Mesut Özil.

Aubameyang, 31, has been instrumental in Arsenal's latest results. He scored goals in the semi-finals and the FA Cup final and also did it in the Community Shield final, the two titles that the 'Gunners' have in the last month and a half. In addition, he also saw the goal on Saturday in the first match of the Premier League, scoring one of the goals in the 0-3 against Fulham. In the last two seasons he has a total of 60 goals.
