Ángel Daniel Sánchez adds in Almuñécar his third consecutive title of BMX champion of Spain

The rider Ángel Daniel Sánchez, from the Olympic Club, won this Saturday the victory in the final round of the Spanish BMX Racing Championship, which was held in Almuñecar (Granada), after beating his teammate Andrés Fuentes and Pablo García, debutant in the category and brand new champion of the Spanish Cup.

At the El Pozuelo de Almúñecar Beach circuit, which for the second consecutive year brought together the great riders of the national scene, Ángel Daniel Sánchez reigned again in the elite and sub-23 category in an exciting test.

The three riders who occupied the podium reached the final round very evenly, with Andrés Fuentes in first place to choose the starting box. However, Ángel Daniel Sánchez, who won the title of Champion of Spain in Almuñécar last year, rose again to the top in the elite category, adding his third consecutive wound.

The CD BMX Olímpico Madrid rider took advantage in the first meters and won in a tight last heat, which allowed him to win, according to previous results on the bikes, Andrés Fuentes and Pablo García, second and third placed. “I am very happy to continue renewing my title and I hope to continue being the champion of Spain for many years,” said Ángel Daniel.

For his part, Marc Román was proclaimed champion of Spain in the junior category after a beautiful fight with Álvaro José Díaz, who finally finished in second position. In women, Mariona Calvis claimed victory after narrowly defeating Adriana Domínguez, with Sara Dorta in the third box of the podium.
