BARCELONA, 27 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The goal scored by the French footballer of Olympique de Lyon Amandine Henry in the final of the Women’s Champions League, and which opened the scoring against FC Barcelona (1-3), has been chosen as the best goal of the 2021 season/ 22 after a popular vote published this Friday by UEFA.

Henry won the ball on the left before cutting in and finishing from outside the area six minutes into the match against the ‘culé’ team. A duel in which Olympique de Lyon snatched the crown from Barça to become continental champion again.

In the vote, the second most voted goal was that of the Blaugrana Caroline Graham Hansen at the Camp Nou, against Wolfsburg in the semifinals. From behind, Alexia Putellas’ direct free kick in the group stage against Hoffenheim closed the ‘Top 3’.

The top ten goals of the 2021/22 edition were selected by UEFA’s panel of Technical Observers, and then put to a popular vote.
