The Denver Nuggets became strong again in their pavilion and beat the Los Angeles Lakers this Thursday by a tight 108-103 to make it 2-0 in the final of the Western Conference of the NBA 2022-2023, again led by a stellar Nikola Jokic and an inspired Jamal Murray.
The Serbian center signed his second ‘triple-double’ of the series, although it was somewhat less spectacular than the first after scoring 23 points, shooting 9/20, 17 rebounds and 12 assists, to which he added three steals. In addition, the local star was accompanied by an inspired Murray, the game’s top scorer with 37 points, 23 in the final twelve minutes, to which he added 10 sacks.
On the other hand, in the Lakers, their two main references did not have their best night, on an Anthony Davis who did not see a ring easily (4/14) despite his 18 points. The game was very even from the initial jump and it was not decided until the final quarter, which the Los Angeles franchise came ahead (76-79). That was where Murray’s success appeared, with four triples, to turn the score around with a 15-1 run that gave Denver a wide lead (96-84) that they knew how to maintain until the end to seek a pass to the first final of his story in Los Angeles where his rival is 8-0 this year in the ‘Playoffs’.
