Paulo Dybala, chosen the Serie A MVP

The Argentinian Paulo Dybala, striker for Juventus Turin, was chosen this Tuesday by the Liga de la A series how “MVP” ('Most Valuable Player') of the league season, while his Portuguese teammate Cristiano Ronaldo was out of the list of the best players in the tournament.

Dybala, who scored eleven goals and gave six assists this year, was awarded by the Serie A League as the best player at the absolute level, while his compatriot Alejandro “Papu” Gómez, captain of the Atalanta, was chosen as the best midfielder.

“La Joya”, as Dybala is known, was awarded according to the statistical data collected by the “Stats Perform” platform with the help of “Netco Sports” data, both in Serie A and in the Italian Cup, in which Juventus lost the final, and the Super Cup, in which the Juventian club surrendered to Lazio.

The Serie A League also chose the Pole Juventus' Wojciech Szczesny named best goalkeeper of the year; Dutchman Stefan De Vrij of Inter Milan was the best defender; Papu Gómez the best midfielder; and the 'Golden Boot' Ciro Immobile, from Lazio, was chosen as best striker.

Swede Dejan Kulusevski, a revelation midfielder this year at Parma and already owned by Juventus, is the best young man of the season. In this classification there is no Cristiano Ronaldo, who completed the year at Juventus with the league title and signed 31 goals in Serie A.
